Johnelle Rae has always loved a good story. She wrote, illustrated, and published her first book at the age of five. Since then, her writing skills have improved dramatically, though sadly her artistic skills have not. She grew up wanting to be a teacher, and now spends her days helping middle schoolers learn how to read, write, do math, and generally be awesome. On the weekends Johnelle can be found weeding her enormous flower and vegetable gardens, keeping an eye on her bees, cooking and baking real food, and reading her way through a long list of classic literature. When she finds time to write, the process always involves unhealthy amounts of dark chocolate. She’s convinced that her cat is her biggest fan, and that without her family’s love and support the stories in her head never would have made it onto the page.
